The OM ॐ and YHWH
In Malachi 1:11 is states:
“For My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place, incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name, because My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
The OM ॐ and the Ineffable Name YHWH ( יהוה)
The Biblical ineffable name of God, YHWH ( יהוה) shares remarkable similarities with the Eastern OM (ॐ). Since language is expressed via symbols to deliver its meaning, the two forms of spelling God’s name share remarkable archetypes.
YHWH ( יהוה) begins with the small dot with is the apex of the Hebrew letter Yod (י) - ' In Kabbalah the apex of the Yod symbolizes the element of Ether. This parallels the top dot of the OM -
The second symbol is the small letter Yod (י), which parallels the small symbol on top of the OM - . The next symbol/letter is the Hebrew letter Heh (ה), paralleling the following symbol in the OM - . Proceeding to the next symbol is the Hebrew letter Wav (ו). The Hebrew letter Wav is also a connector, a conjunction and used as the “and” when found in front of a word. In other words, connecting two ideas or fragments together. This symbols parallels the following connector symbol of the OM -
Finally, the Heh (ה) letter/symbol repeats itself just like the final part of the OM, repeating the previous symbol
Great is God among the nations……….
